Medium to long-haired dogs should be groomed 3-4 times a week. It keeps the coat looking clean. It also distributes the natural oils in the dog's skin, keeping the coat looking shiny.

A dog's physical condition can affect its behaviour - for example, dogs with matted, unkempt fur can often appear low. Keeping a dog looking healthy through grooming can significantly change its character.

Bonding

Dogs enjoy being groomed. As an owner, it can be an excellent way of building trust with your animal. It also lets you check the dog for skin irritations, fleas or ticks.

Shedding
